Long time reader; first time subscriber / commenter. I've feel like I've dealt with feeling socially lonely for a while by taking solace in my romantic and work relationships. Just knowing I'm not alone in this is really reassuring. Thanks for the newsletter!

Society and cishetero white supremacist patriarchy have made women the only acceptable outlet for mens emotions and companionship.

We are exhausted. And need our own support and connection and care. All under this alienating isolating colonial imperialist capitalist system.

Its good some men are realizing they need to learn relationality with each other again. The ways men have been taught to socialize and relate just reinforce their own loneliness.

Often it is clear that men want relationship without wanting to actually be relational. That is a major barrier to changing these dynamics. Then the men who do want to be relational are met with indifference, resistance or intolerance by other men. Women too ofc who are conditioned to self protect..

But ya. Loneliness is political. And intentional. It is alienation under another name.
