My Dr of 35yrs retired recently. I've been so used to her " getting " me, I never worried about who should be the right therapist specialist etc. She never once asked me about my sexuality but knew I was gay. I'm now a 73yr man who feels lost in the medical system. I don't know who to go to for advice or treatment. I'm epileptic and should be receiving medication renewals in the next month. The Dr that replaced her has doubled the price my Dr charged , as a pensioner I can't afford it. Any thoughts please. I'd prefer to have a male Dr with gay sympathies how would I discover how to find one. I'm not an American. I live in Auckland New Zealand. All our health care is free except visiting a GP which can be $60-$80 a visit. With my condition depending on the frequency of my seizures which always neccessates hospitalization. I'm a tonic clonic juvenile epileptic . I've had it all my life. My latest seizures I fell onto concrete sustaining concussion and bruising to my brain that has taken 4months to heal.

I'm sorry this was such a long drawn out explanation. I am desperate for someone to please help me

Thank you
